The Next Generation Garden Home is complete. Now comes the fun part – furnishings and interior design. I've been having a great time building the new cottage for eHow Home, and it's time to start the interior design process! Join me as I sit down with fellow designer and eHow Home host Rebecca Robeson as we discuss her style, inspirations, design tips, and recent visit to the Garden Home. Don't miss it!

Chicago

I recently visited Chicago and was blown away by the Windy City! Today I'm joined by 8 Chicagoans involved in some of the cities greatest attractions. From the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower to the Shedd Aquarium's jellyfish exhibit, I had the chance to speak with some fascinating people & see some incredible things. Join me as I learn about the Garfield Park Conservatory, the historic Frank Lloyd Wright Home, a local flower grower called TruBlooms and a visit to a fabulous farm-to-table restaurant, Markethouse.

Growing Opportunities

Every once in awhile, you come across a person or organization that really changes how you look at things.

Aaron Reddin, founder of "The One, Inc." and "The Field" recently had that effect on me. "The One" is an organization that reaches out to the unsheltered homeless population in and around Little Rock by delivering food, clothing and supplies in big yellow van. Reddin has recently branched out into "The Field," a farming experiment on a few acres of land where homeless are encouraged to work the land and sell the vegetables, bringing in a paycheck and having access to fresh vegetables. In this episode of the P. Allen Smith show, I get to speak with Reddin about the project, its successes, and the impact he's making on our community.
